AC Shadows Introduces Unexpected AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season

In a bizarre crossover event that challenges traditional expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine group.

The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Extra Content

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana alongside multiple items secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Third Free Story Addition

This update also brings the game's third complimentary story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." This playful quest pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange characteristic techniques: Naoe reveals a theatrical version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires non-lethal stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "A Puzzlement" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately shed light on some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
