Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a wide array of heroes, and a exciting storyline including divine entities, evil spirits, and sinister influences expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.
Heads-up: Revealing details for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.
The Soldiers Table Introduced
The third episode concluded with a dramatic pause and introduced the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to embark on their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team includes Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.
That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Combat Party
According to the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a traditionally charged battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are rare.
Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might look mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.
Motivations for Departure
To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a violent initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his personal gain, breaking into the secret base, attacking Thimble, and stealing all the powerful objects to auction.
The traitor then cleared his debts and ran away to a fortified location in the northern region, above the urban center, with Cyd close behind.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each character has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:
- Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants retribution.
- Kattigan has experience in Timmony and cautions that it is a nasty place.
- The strong character and The cleric, having defied his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead saved him, have no other options.
- Yet, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could enable the party access locations they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that govern Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The rogue and The character are known criminals.
- The warrior and The cleric betrayed the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
- The target is marked for death by the clan.
This leaves them little choice but to head to the northern region in quest for Casimir.
